In the immortal words of the Nike corporation, “Just do it!”
I had a good friend tell me once, if you don’t know where to start, just pick a place and start. It has on many occasions turned out to be great advice. This is especially true when I just have a bunch of tasks that need to get done an the critically and time demands of the overall list are just equal. So picking a place to start is just another task that does not need to be added to the list. Just pick something, sometimes the easiest one and get moving. The inertia of movement will keep you going, and as you nock stuff off your list the little kicks of Dopamine will keep you moving to continue to get stuff of your list.
On the other hand if you have tasks that have priorities or deadlines you’re gonna need a list. You don’t have to start with the top of the list, find something near the top that you dread the least and just start doing it! You will get a pick-me-up, you will get addicted to getting things done and the next thing you know you’re unstuck.
